About the trust

Elizabeth Hall was diagnosed in December 1999 with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer.

She was 27 years old and loved life. She underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy but could not beat it and died in July 2000. Elizabeth's mother Jane decided to create a permanent memorial to her, and set about finding a suitable project.

The Elizabeth Hall Centre

The Elizabeth Hall Centre started taking its first patients in February 2005.

The Centre, which comprises the Wessex Ward for inpatients and the Basing Unit for outpatients, offers specialist cancer care and successfully treats many patients.
What does the Trust do?

Since The Elizabeth Hall Centre was established, the Trust has continued raising funds to help local cancer patients and their carers in whatever way improved their lives. When someone is struggling against cancer, they should not also have to struggle financially and sometimes money is short when someone is ill and unable to work.
Sometimes, funding if not just for essentials. There have been occasions when the Trust provides a special treat such as a last holiday, a drive in a Ferrari, last birthday dinner or a visit to TV film studios. And many many more.
